            I am Sukhjit and with my writing, I desire to motivate and help you deal with the challenges in life. Ponder Wonder is a relatable blog for every soul on this planet. It will help you to change the way you think. We all have a part of ourselves that we need to work on. We all get swayed by emotions at some point or another in our lives. Sometimes it’s overwhelming to express ourselves. Thoughts just race in our minds. Does overthinking, dilemma, dependency, irrational thoughts, bad decisions, bad behaviour of others and the happenings all over the world impact us? It certainly does! I am affected by it and so do you. So, let’s ponder together.

In this blog, I will also share the happenings worldwide and how they affect humanity. Someone has rightly said that if you want to change the world around you, start with yourself. There are multitude of issues that us and will affect future generations also. Are we creating a better tomorrow for our children? Here are some critical issues that affect us.

1. Climate Change and Environmental Degradation—Global warming is warming our planet, cutting trees, and increasing pollution. Consequently, the Earth will no longer be a safe haven for human survival.
2. Poverty and Inequality -Lack of education, poor healthcare, and hunger also affect people. Education creates responsible citizens and builds a peaceful society, but is it serving its purpose? Food which is a basic need is not available to everyone. Because of inadequate healthcare, many people die every year.
3. The global health Crisis, COVID–19, has disturbed everyone’s everyday life. Due to climate change and the mobility of the human population, diseases are widespread. Another reason is increased contact between humans and animals. Due to increased stress levels, people face many mental health disorders.
4. Conflict and War—The conflict in Sudan and the Israeli-Palestinian conflict have reached a new stage. We all read the news and learn about the happenings around the world. We also learn how individuals are affected by such conflicts and wars.
5. Access to Education – There are children who do not go to school or college and they remain in darkness and are forced to work as laborers. The irony is though the literacy level is increasing yet moral standards are depleting.
6. Technological Disruption—Technology has disadvantages, such as being unpredictable, causing job displacement, and raising privacy and security concerns, which can lead to mental health issues.
7. Political Instability and Corruption—Corruption and weak governance hinder the progress of many nations. For example, Venezuela has faced political turmoil, which has led to mass migration and hyperinflation. South Sudan has been in civil war since it gained independence.
8. Racism and Discrimination – Concerns related to gender in equality and social injustice persist worldwide. It has certainly has impacted the lives of people.
9. Overpopulation and urbanization—Our planet has become populous, and resources have become scarce to accommodate the increasing population. This has resulted in overcrowding of cities and unemployment.

I wonder if we can separate ourselves from all these issues. No, we cannot. Will they become a hindrance in our self-care or will they make us more self-reliant? Thought-provoking isn’t it? Even, if I am a tiny little soul on this beautiful planet, I dive into these issues and make these complex issues simple so that they are understandable and also look into the steps we could take to make this world a better place to live in.
