Animals are the most incredible creatures on Earth which can teach us many things. They teach us attributes of loyalty, patience, empathy, compassion, forgiveness, teamwork, and courage.
1. Unconditional Love
Pets don’t judge humans. They offer love freely and make us feel comfortable. They show us genuine affection. They don’t judge you for being rich or poor. A dog wags his tail to show affection.
2. Living in the Moment
Animals don’t think about the past nor worry about the future. They don’t have the intelligence to think about the past or the future. They do feel sad, happy, or angry. But they live in the present moment.

3. Resilience
Stray animals can recover from difficulties. They face hunger and abuse on the streets. They wonder in search of food. Even if many people do not entertain them, they still love humans. They endure more than they deserve.
4. Empathy and Compassion
Creatures care for animals and humans in need. For example, a whale protected a man from a shark. A dog named Roselle had saved a blind man from the 9/11 attack. Creatures also have nurturing behaviour towards other animals. There is a deep emotional bond that exists in the animal kingdom.

5. Loyalty
Dogs are known for their unwavering loyalty. They form lasting bonds with their owners. They provide companionship and protection without expecting anything in return. Dogs celebrate and show extreme happiness when their owners return home from work. My pet dog Mac often comforted me when I was sad. Now that he has crossed the rainbow bridge I miss him. Dogs are cherished by humans and treated as family members.
6. Patience
Animals have immense patience. Birds build their nest patiently. Dogs wait patiently for their food. Cows chew grass patiently. Stray dogs even chew the leftovers patiently. Spiders weaves its web for hours. Cats wait patiently for their prey. If a stray animal gets injured it can endure physical pain without getting annoyed. An owl is considered to be the epitome of patience.

7. Forgiveness
Humans hold grudges for long and we don’t forgive easily. Creatures don’t hold grudges; hence they don’t take revenge. Some animals who are abused or tortured by humans may get scared to trust again. However, when showered with love they again become loyal companions to humans.

8. Teamwork
Animals work in teams to survive. They collect food and build their home. For example, ants and bees work together in teams. Ants build colonies with coordination. They communicate with each other about food and danger. They show spectacular unity and cooperation.
9. Courage
Animals in the wild and stray animals are particular about their territory. There are many mind-blowing tales of animal courage. The lion represents bravery and courage, hence it is considered the jungle king. The honey badger is a fearless animal and can attack animals much larger than itself. Animals large or small deal with threats in different ways. The alertness and responsiveness of animals protect them from predators.

10. Playfulness
Being playful is an instinct of animals. When they are playful, they bring joy to our faces. A dolphin shows playfulness by leaping through the waves. A dog may run and play with a stick or a ball for hours. A kitten gets engrossed while playing with a ball of yarn or string.
Thus, these creatures make this planet worth living. Humans must realize their importance and stop abusing them. They are man’s best companions. We can learn a lot of good things from them. They can acts as mentors. Which is the quality you learned from an animal?
